Key: New Zealand Department of Conservation (DOC)
What is a DOC: A DOC is a ranger that runs programs to restore and protect the spices so people like us get to see and engage with the birds. They also look after the place to make sure it is safe for us, birds and the plants.
Good Things about DOC :
1. Are independent.
2.Manage land, other nature and historic resources.
3. Have some fun activities for us to do.
Bad:
1. Cause of 1080 their lives are threatened.
2. Their cars have been taper so they could of had a car crash.
3. Also on 1080 the Doc have been blamed for the Government's decisions.
I would not want to be a Doc even for the nice things they do to look after the wild life because I have other dream jobs that are a bit more safer then the bad things that happen. I don't want to be blamed for the decisions that weren't mine.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this very detailed blog post about why you think being a DOC ranger would be a tough job. DOC rangers do an amazing job for our wildlife. I think that being a DOC ranger would be a very difficult job.
